Children tend to make mistakes. That is something we can’t deny. Sometimes, when we are tired, we overreact and use unnecessary or harsh words to reprimand them.
Especially if they did something wrong at night, when we are just getting ready to go to bed to wind down and rest after a long day of work. Our first reaction would be to scream or threaten them to sleep. At times, they can end up hurt and cry themselves to sleep.
What they need before going to sleep is to know that we love them so that they can sleep well, feel secure and wake up happy. So, if we tried our best to control ourselves but still accidentally say things that hurt their feelings, don’t be afraid to apologise and explain to them that we didn’t mean those things we said.
